Two take the ride.
Two share the cost.
Add the jeep ride for the two friends who agreed to share it. If a PKR 4,500 ride is split equally by two people, their shares are PKR 2,250 each. The friend who stayed back is not included.

The stay. The ride. The chai along the way.
Yaara keeps shared travel expenses, agreed shares and repayments together, from the first booking to home again.
ROOM FOR THREE. PLANS FOR PLENTY.BEFORE YOU LEAVE
You book the stay. Ayesha covers fuel. Hamza pays for the chai stop. Shared travel costs quickly spread across different people, dates and messages.
Create a Yaara group for the trip. For each booking or purchase, record the amount, who paid, who is sharing it and the agreed shares. Keep receipts with the relevant expenses so the details are easier to check later.
Travel Industry Research: Studies on group travel show that 58% of vacationers experience tension over unequal cost splits—from who attended specific outings to fuel and lodging math. Yaara allows customizable participants per expense, multi-currency records, and seamless offline entry so trips end with friendships intact.
Decide which costs belong to the trip and how you will share them. A group keeps the plan together; the people and shares can still differ for each expense.
One booking. Three weekend bags.
No “I’ll remember it later.”
ALONG THE WAY
Meals, transport and accommodation each have their own payer and participants. Record them in your Yaara trip group while the details are fresh, so a good stop doesn’t become a forgotten cost.

The long way was the right way.
An illustrative trip for you, Ayesha and Hamza. Each scene shows a different payer; in Yaara, keep each expense with its own participants and agreed shares.
SAME TRIP. DIFFERENT PARTICIPANTS.
Ayesha joins the jeep ride. Hamza stays back for a slow morning. The trip has three friends; this expense has two participants.
In Yaara, choose who shares each expense. Someone can stay in the trip group without paying for a ride, meal or activity they didn’t join.
Add the jeep ride for the two friends who agreed to share it. If a PKR 4,500 ride is split equally by two people, their shares are PKR 2,250 each. The friend who stayed back is not included.
Agree what was shared before adding the restaurant bill. Use equal, exact, percentage or item-based shares in Yaara to reflect the agreement, including how you divide any shared extras.
If a friend joins halfway through the trip, discuss which costs they share. Record the participants for each expense rather than assuming every person shares every booking.
HOME AGAIN
A trip total tells you what was spent. To understand what remains between friends, you also need who paid, each person’s agreed share and the repayments already made. Yaara keeps those details with the trip.
Review the stay, transport, meals and activities in your Yaara group. Add any missing agreed purchases and check the receipts where something needs explaining.
Make sure each expense includes the right friends and the split you agreed. A skipped activity or an unequal meal should keep its own arrangement.
Pay each other using your usual method, then record the repayments in Yaara. Check what remains before making another payment.
THE LAST LITTLE THING
A friend returns some of what they owe after the trip. Record that repayment in Yaara, including part payments, so the returned amount and what remains are both clear.
Pay each other as you normally would.
Yaara keeps the record.
AN ILLUSTRATIVE PARTIAL REPAYMENT
A repayment is money returned against what was owed, not another trip purchase. Record it after the payment happens.
A LITTLE PLANNING HELPS
Yaara lets you add records offline. Queued changes sync when you reconnect; your friends won’t receive those updates while you are offline. Before your final trip review, reconnect and let the records sync.
Yaara keeps expenses and balances separate by currency. It does not automatically convert different currencies into one total. Check the currency on each expense and agree how you will handle any exchange outside the app.
A few things,
cleared up.
Create a Yaara group for the trip. Add each shared expense with the amount, payer, currency, participants and agreed shares. Keep useful receipts with their expenses. Review the group after the trip and record repayments made through your usual payment method.
Record costs the group agrees to share, such as accommodation, fuel, taxis, meals, groceries and activities. Each expense can have different participants and shares, so personal purchases and optional plans don’t have to be divided among everyone.
Choose the participants for each expense in Yaara. Include only the friends who agreed to share that particular cost. A person can remain part of the trip group while being excluded from a ride, meal or activity they did not share.
Agree which items and extras are shared, then record equal, exact, percentage or item-based shares in Yaara. Use the arrangement your friends agreed for that meal instead of assuming every restaurant bill needs an equal split.
Record each expense with its own payer and agreed shares in the same trip group. Paying for different things does not necessarily mean everyone covered the same amount. Keeping those details and repayments recorded makes the final review easier.
